If you are a student, it’s probable that you have heard of Ramen. This super quick, super easy noodle soup is a life saver for all of those who never really learned how to cook for themselves or are just too lazy to invest time into whole meals.
So, I thought I would show you how to upgrade the meal a bit without having to put too much effort into it.
What you need is:
- Sunflower oil
- Nori (Seaweed)
- Spring onions
- Soy sauce
- Mirin (if you have it)
- Sesame oil
That’s it. Really.
Start by cutting the cabbage into small pieces and putting it in the oven with some vegetable oil on it. Let it bake for around 20 min or until slightly brown at the edges.
Prepare the Ramen like you usually would, with the noodles and the powder/oil that comes in the pack.
Then add a generous amount of soy sauce, a bit of mirin and a drop or two if sesame oil.
Once you put boiling water on it you can also add some cut up spring onions, some ripped up Nori and the cabbage from the Oven.
Other possible ingredients could be:
- Soy beans
- Fried mushrooms
- Whatever else you like.
